We have worked together with the photographer Toni Catany printing in platinum more than 40 images of his portfolio.

It has been a pleasure and a wonderful experience working with Toni.

We are pleased to announce that the exhibition:
"Arxiu d'ombres. Sis portafolis amb tiratge al platí / pal·ladi" by Toni Catany will be on view from April 28 through June 11, 2011 at the gallery Valid Foto BCN.

Valid Editions starts in 2011 when Valid Foto Gallery and ConvincingBlack got together.

Valid Editions projects include the creation of limited editions photographs, portfolios, artist books and traveling exhibitions to be shown at major museums, photo galleries and art institutions.

We intend to cater for photographers, collectors and photography enthusiasts worldwide. Our aim is to foster both the development and the appreciation for the photographic medium and its practitioners, focusing on spreading high quality printing photography.

We would like to make of each portfolio, book or exhibition an object of beauty reflecting the highest standards of craftsmanship and artistic significance.

HP Large Format Photo Negatives exhibited in Photokina 2010

At Photokina, HP is exhibiting its recently announced HP Large Format Photo Negative application that allows professional photographers using the HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer to produce fine-art quality prints.
One of our negatives of "La Loire" portfolio is exhibited in the fair.

Platinum Prints for Colita’s exhibition

Opening of Colita’s solo-exhibiition in Barcelona at Valid Foto Gallery that will run from 14 September to 30 October featuring a selection of her well-known work together with a set of images that have never been exhibited before.

Among the work on display, there are ten platinum prints made by us: Angel Albarrán and Anna Cabrera.

Digital Negatives and platinum printing workshop demonstration

Next 9 and 10 of October, in Atelier Retaguardia school in Barcelona, we will give a workshop demo ( one day introduction ) to digital negatives and platinum / palladium printing.

These two workshops are part of a set of demonstrations called "Arqueologia de la luz" (Light Archaeology) where other printing methods as Cyanotype, Gum Bichromate, Tintype, Wet Collodion and Ambrotype will be covered.

HP Large Format Photo Negatives solution is available

HP Large Format Photo Negatives, the solution that I have developed in HP is now released.
With this solution I have tried to find a way to print digital negatives using alternative photo processes with the maximum quality and easiness of use.

Working on this solution with Elliot Erwitt, Magnum Agency, Gabe Greenberg, Harald Johnson, and all my colleagues in HP has been a rewarding experience. I would like to thank the people in HP who believed in this solution, to ARTTrust company, Magnum Agency and all the people who helped me to make it possible.

I hope that you enjoy using this solution as much as I did creating it.

Exhibition and conference at the Recontres d'Arles 2010

The "ARTtrust Rencontres" space offers a small exhibition of works certified by ARTtrust Bubble Tags™.

Conference: Fine-Art Photography and Technology: Revolution and Renaissance? Conference-debate, Courtyard of the organization, Rue Fanton, Arles Thursday 8 July at 4.30 pm.

This debate will feature key speakers from the photography and art market, with the participation of Thomas Hoepker and Jonathan Roquemore from Magnum Photos New York. Angel Albarrán, creator of the HP Digital Negative Technology will participate as photographer and Color Scientist. Moderator: Harald Johnson - Duration: 90 minutes.

Elliott Erwitt: New Platinum Prints, 2010 Four new platinum prints of iconic photographs by Elliott Erwitt, certified with the ARTtrust Bubble Tags™, will be unveiled as a preview during the conference debate "Fine-Art Photography and Technology: Revolution and Renaissance?"."In working with photographer Elliott Erwitt to produce a series of Platinum fine art photographs, we've had the opportunity to leverage the technology of ARTtrust as a certification system and the Digital negative technology from Hewlett-Packard to create a beautiful series of limited-edition photographs for both collectors and institutions," explains Jonathan Roquemore, Magnum Photos International.
During the professional week, these remarkable prints will be on show in the bar of the Nord Pinus Hotel.
